Kingsley Eno Osagie, also described by fans and newspapers as "Nigeria King of Reggae" popularly known with his artistic name Winning Jah, is a veteran Nigerian Reggae singer,Philanthropist,prolific song writer and a multi-instrumentalist. Best known for his debut album "Big Man" released in the 90's in Nigeria, the album sold over 650,000 units . Born in Kano State in northern Nigeria, and raised in Benin City.
He attended Edaiken Primary school, later proceeded to Eweka Grammar School to continue at Immaculate conception College and finally graduated at University Of Benin (U.N.I.B.E.N) where he studied Business administration.Winning Jah, had released four critically acclaimed Albums to his name and won several musical awards.His music career emerged in the 80's, performing as a member and the lead vocalist of "Emababa Reggae Group", the group turned stardom for covering, Bob Marley's music, to win John Players Gold leaf award for reggae new act in 1989 at Benin City (Nigeria).The group disbanded for family motives, Winning Jah went recording as a solo artiste, releasing his debut album the following year. In 2017, his song "Deep Sea" was nominated by Amnesty International music award in Italy, powered by Amnesty International arms (Voce Per la libertà) for Amnesty, Deep sea resulted third most played, to peak #3 on the Amnesty International Youtube channel's Chart. In December 2017, he released an album "Africa Inside Me" featuring Stephen Marley on the track "Now I Know-Africa version" .Another track titled "Trust" was featured on various radio playlist and numerous disc jockey mix tapes globally.
Winning Jah founded his religion "WinningJahrian", converting over 1000 persons as it emerged. In 2018, his song "Homeless World" peaked #1 on Reverbnation main Italian national reggae chart for one month, in February 2018, he received a prestigious monarch honor from Obaland Awards' Academy ,one of the most prestigious awards in Africa, under the International category of "Obaland Royal Awards" for Best Edo state/Diaspora Philanthropist, Best Africa reggae artiste -2018. He was inspired by Fela Kuti, Alpha Blondy, Peter Tosh,Bob Marley, signed to VP Records arms VPAL.
